Humpty Dumpty..

Hi my little princess, who is getting so big!

You are officially 8 1/2- 9 weeks away from your due date!!!!! SO excited..I can't believe how fast the time has gone! Everyone told me that the 2nd pregnancy always flies by and they couldn't be more right! You are going to be here before I know it and I couldn't be happier! 

Yesterday we had quite the scare...It was a rainy morning and I had quite the fall on our patio. I was taking out the trash and Maisy came around the corner at full speed from behind me and took me out! She swept both of my legs out from under me and I came crashing down..literally! My right hip and elbow took the brunt of the fall but everything seemed to hurt. I laid on the wet tile (stupid slippery Spanish tile) and was bawling; I thought I broke my arm! 

I went upstairs, of course crying the whole way (lol), and got your Daddy out of bed and told him what happened. Of course he was concerned and comforted me and told me to lay down. I kept repeating that I was fine, and that I just wanted to make sure you were ok! He urged me to call my Dr. and I told him that I would, that I was going to monitor your movements before I jumped the gun. 

He made me a peach and mango smoothie and I headed off to work a lil' while later. I was closely monitoring any movement by you and didn't feel you for almost an hour and a half! This is when I freaked! I called the Dr. as soon as I got into work at 9am and was told I needed to come in and be checked. I jumped in the car, called your Daddy, and cried nearly the entire way to his office. Your sweet Daddy insisted on going with me (love that man) and I was so happy he did because he comforts me like no one can. 

The NP checked your heart rate and it was super strong. I cannot emphasize enough how AMAZING it was to hear you!! At this point I had felt you move a hand full of times so my worries were lessening. She did tell me that I tore several ligaments in my stomach, bruised my ribs, and elbow/hip, but that she thought everything was ok with you! She ordered me to go to the hospital to have additional testing done just to make sure everything was ok and that my placenta didn't separate, and that we didn't exchange blood. 

I called my mom to ask her to relieve Savanna from babysitting Jax and she insisted on coming to the hospital for extra support (love her), so your Papa went to our house to hang with J until we were done. 

The hospital gave us a NST and monitored your heart rate, movement, and contractions. Thank GOD (he is so good) that everything was great with you! The nurse said all the tests couldn't have gone any better! AMEN! I was a happy Mommy!

We are still waiting on the results of the blood I gave. The blood work will tell us if you were bruised or injured, and if we exchanged blood. 

It was SO crazy being admitted into a Labor and Delivery room, putting on a grown etc. It brought back SO many memories of when I delivered your brother, and made it feel SO real! I can't believe you are almost here!!! Eek!! 

I love you SO much and am SO happy you are happy and healthy in my belly!

Wedding Bliss

Morning Bambina, 

Happy 28 week womb day!!!! You are getting so big so quick and I have been enjoying feeling you moving around in my tum every day! You really groove at times, but you rest often too. You do not seem to be as active as your brother was when he was in my belly; I am hoping it is a sign that you will be a little more mellow than he is (Lord knows he keeps me busy, bless his little heart!). 

As usual, we have been busy busy busy! We did have some time to sneak away to a wedding over the weekend however. Your Granddad and soon to be Grandma watched J while Mommy and Daddy celebrated the union of Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Roberson. We had SO much fun dancing the night away! Your Daddy and I rarely leave J at night, we usually keep our dates during the day, so this was a nice treat for us! We love being with J, as we will with you too, so we hate leaving him. Plus, we aren't the type of parents to pawn our kids off on other people all the time. ;) Life goes too fast and you guys are the most important things to us so we never want to miss a moment!

We all had a blast dancing to the 80's band and eating yummy ribeye steak(Mommy's favorite this pregnancy). I hope you weren't too jumbled around while I was shaking my "Boov" thang (inside joke with your brother). :) 

Speaking of your brother, he had fun hangin' with your gramp and gram, eating pizza, ice cream, and playing playing playing!

Valentines Day

Hi my pretty pretty princess, 

Yesterday, in honor of V-day, we celebrated all things love. We started our morning off with a visit with your Doctor where we got to hear your heart beat (a perfect V-day present) and talk about your due date etc. He thinks it is in your, and my best interest to have a C-section, so we get to meet you a week sooner than your due date! We cannot wait!! Your Doctor is sending me for routine and extra precautionary testing (prayers are always welcome) that I will be doing in the next couple of days. Other than that, everything is right on track. Talking about you all morning was the perfect way to kick off a day full of love!

After, your Daddy and I had a lunch date (rare for us) at Bagel Me (random, but what can I say, I was craving a bagel?!)

We finished the night off watching movies, goofing around in bed, and lots of laughter. I can't wait until you join in on the fun next year!

Hello February

Happy month of love baby girl!! 

I'm going into it sicker than a dog. But I had to shout out to February because it is, after all, a month filled with all things love..which includes you! 

So happy love month princess! Mommy loves you more than you can imagine! 

I don't have anything too excited to report since us sickys have been laying low, so, I will leave you with this..

Weekend Happenings

Hi my precious baby girl! 

Happy 23 week womb-day! You must know I'm writing to you because you just kicked me!..I LOVE feeling you move! You move quite often now, although not as much as your brother did (I hope this is a sign that you will be a bit calmer lol) so I revel in every movement. Your Daddy is starting to be able to feel you too!..The first time was last week! He gets SO excited too! 

You are now over 11 inches long and weigh over one pound! You will work hard in the coming weeks to double your weight..don't worry, I am happy to assist you in the process! ;)

The bug that's going around has hit our family hard so we took it easy over the weekend!  We ventured out on Saturday to do a little furniture shopping for you (didn't find anything) and hung out at Papa and Gagas for a bit. 

This was our Saturday night. In bed by 7:30 p.m. watching Jax's favorite movie, Home for the thousandth time, while I started a new Nick Sparks book (my favorite author).

On Sunday your Daddy, with the help of J, put your crib together while I finished cleaning out your room/closet, and hung up your clothes (swoon). Seeing your crib, and all the pink in your closet, makes my heart melt every time I walk into your room! I can't believe I get to meet you in just 17 weeks (maybe even sooner if I have a C-section!)!! Eek!

J was so excited to help Daddy! He copied everything he did and helped screw in nearly every screw...it was REALLY cute! Don't worry, J tested it out for you by jumping in it after we put your mattress in! He approves! :) 

I can't wait to see you in it!!..Well lets see if you actually use yours..your Daddy says Jax's was just a "decoration" since he slept in it maybe 3 times. Ha ha. What can I say?.. I love having him snuggled with me, and I'm sure you will be no exception! Our next task is going to be transferring him into his big boy bed (which we are purchasing this week)..wish us luck, we are REALLY going to need it!

22 Week Womb Day

Happy 22 Week Womb-Day Princess!!

Sorry I haven't written you in awhile, things have been nuts recently! Between play dates, bringing Jax to work with me (Nanny was on vacay), putting away Chritmas decorations (yes, finally!), dodging this rain, hanging with family, being a mommy, being a wife, and cooking you, I barely have time to shower (luckily I do..your welcome husband)! 

A lot has happened recently, first off, I think we have narrowed down a name for you!! I have nearly cleaned out your room; it used to be a play room, and Mommy and Daddy's overflow of clothes storage area. We have also changed Doctors! I am so excited about the change, we love your new Doctor! 

I also gave blood for your 2nd trimester screening..

Welcome 2017

 Happy New Year my sweet pea! 

2017 is going to be our best year yet! Not only do we get to be spoiled with love by your brother, but we will get to be spoiled by you too!!!!! We are are so blessed to have you both, and your Daddy and I couldn't be more thankful! #GodIsGood!!

Daddy, Jax, and I said goodbye to 2016 with a party of three at our house. And we wouldn't have had it any other way! We had fun watching the ball drop from the comfort of our couch! We wore our finest attire; jammies! It was a perfect way, with the most perfect people, to ring in the new year!

 We had fun dancing in our kitchen, smooching, and singing along to one of Mommy's favorite songs, Drop it like it's Hot, by Snoop Dog after the ball dropped. I was quite surprised that we made it to midnight..party animals! 

We kicked 2017 off by playing in the park. We love watching your bro run around and get so excited going down the slides and swinging! It makes us happy to see so much joy in him!..So it is a treat for all of us! Plus, your Daddy and I enjoy the walk there; we get to enjoy nature, chat, and squeeze in a little exercise. Pretty soon, my little Bambin-a, you will get to join in on the fun!
