A Walk In The Park

Happy Thursday Cupcake, 

I have been feeling a little sluggish the last few days (probably from cheeseburger overload) so I decided to take advantage of the 70 degree weather (thank the Lord) this afternoon and go for a walk to soak up some good ol' vitamin d!

I walked through a local park and ended up at Victoria"s Secret for a lil' retail therapy (shocker). It was just what I needed because I feel much more energized. I guess a little walking and shopping is the perfect holistic medicine; noted husband? ;)  

There are SO many cool parks in Chino Hills and I can't wait to take you to every one!

Hello my precious cupcake, 

I hope you are nice and comfy in my belly on this hot day! I am so looking forward to cooler weather, it is still in the high 80's/90's here even though it is October! 

I thought we would get some relief from this heat when we went up North but was disappointed when we were greeted with 90 degree weather! On Sunday (my actual bday) we went to the 49er football game!! And boy(or girl) did we have fun! 

Your daddy has been a 49er fan since he was a kid so going to the game was extra special to him! We both love the team and we never miss a game! They played Kansas City, whose quarterback used to be the 49ers until good ol' Kaepernick came along so the game was pretty exciting. 

The whole day was so perfect! We slept in, walked to the delicious Whispers Cafe where we ate a yummy breakfast, and headed to the game. When I got out of the shower, your daddy surprised me with a decorated hotel room. :)

After I soaked in the surprise (I saved the present opening until after dinner) we were off to the game. We took the train which was cool for me because I have never ridden on a train (your daddy has never ridden on one in the US)!

We finished the night off by eating at Johnny Rockets (you were craving a burger), eating cheesecake and carrot cake, and of course opening presents (thanks B for spoiling me). All in all it was the PERFECT birthday! I am truly blessed!

Thirty Flirty and Thriving San Francisco Style

Hi Cupcake, 

Its official, your mommy is 30 years old young! Your daddy and I celebrated my big day in San Francisco. We had the BEST time; my face still hurts from smiling so much! If you marry your best friend, like mommy and daddy did, you are guaranteed to always have fun together! 

A special thank you to all my wonderful family and friends for the birthday wishes (and goodies).I couldn't be more thankful for all of you! 

Your grandpa helped kick off my birthday celebration on Friday when he so generously treated your daddy and I to one of our favorite restaurants, Wood Ranch! I hope you enjoyed the tri-tip, mash potatoes, and mac-n-cheese as much as I did! Wood Ranch is not only delish, it is also special to your daddy and I because they catered our wedding.

On Saturday we left our house at 5 a.m. to drop Banx off at gma and gpa Dean's (BEST babysitters ever)and started our 6 hour drive up North. We had so much fun talking, dancing (mostly me) and laughing the whole way (well, except when I was napping..sorry B!). 

Hello San Francisco! 

As soon as we parked at the pier we headed straight for the world famous Boudin's, which I had been craving for weeks! Their clam chowder (in the perfect sourdough bowl) had been the topic of my conversations with many (including my doctor who gave me permission to eat it...yes, I asked :)) for quite some time. It was definitely worth the wait!

 After my tummy was full stuffed (sorry about that Cupcake) we walked along the pier, watched all the crazy street performers (which included a really angry Elmo..I think he needed to be tickled), and did a lil' souvenir shopping.

Of course we couldn't leave without going to Ghirardelli town to taste some chocolate and eat some ice cream!

We ended the day by driving down the famous Lombard street, checking out Mrs Doubtfire's house, and watching the sunset from a street overlooking Alcatraz.

Hello October

Happy Thursday my cupcake,

Fall is in the air! Well sort of, it is still 90 degrees after all! I can't help but be excited for all things October; leaves on the ground, chunky sweaters, Halloween costumes, and my birthday of course! Bring on the pumpkin pancakes, muffins and pies! I have been so busy lately that it didn't even occur to me that we said adios to summer and hello to fall! That is until you doggy so cleverly reminded me..

I took Banx to the vet today because your daddy and I noticed a weird growth on his back during his weekly bath. Of course I panicked, looked on the computer for answers (I know I shouldn't do this because it never works in my favor), and was positive that he had a tumor. Needless to say I was out of my mind worried!

After his examination his vet gave me the GREAT news that he did not have a tumor, she said that he had a...

WART! A wart?! Eww great news! This however made me think of witches, which made me think of pumpkins, which made me think of fall! So, thank you Banx and your so in season wart.

I Love You "Berry" Much!

Hello my darling baby,

Mommy is feeling pretty under the weather today. Not because of you, it seems that I have caught a cold. I woke up with a sore throat, runny nose, and absolutely no energy.

I pray that you are not affected by this, and that you are healthy and peaceful in my belly! I promise that I am doing everything in my power to rid your home of these yucky germs! I called my doctor (who you will meet in 7 months) and she said that you will be fine! SO happy!

I did however get a great surprise that lifted my spirits in the middle of my "woe is me" day... 

This little box of heaven showed up on our door step, compliments of your grandma and grandpa Dean (I have the BEST in laws)! I am in love with chocolate covered strawberries, and Shari's Berries makes the best ones! Don't worry cupcake, you will get to taste one them for dessert!

Along with these delicious treats, they also sent me a very generous gift card to HomeGoods (one of my favorite places) for my 30th bday coming up (insert sad face here). I cannot wait for you to get to meet them! I know you will love them as much as I do! 

Heres to a night of orange juice, rest, and strawberries :)

Apple of My Eye

Hello my cupcake,

You got to tag along while your daddy and I picked apples in Oak Glen on Saturday. Your papa, gaga, auntie Kortney, auntie Karington, uncle Trent, and cousin Hudson came along too. We had such a great time picking apples off the trees, walking around the cute town, and shopping (of course). I can't wait to bring you next year!

Oak Glen has acres and acres of apple orchards, and during the Fall season the public is allowed to pick from them (at a hefty price of course).  It's a pretty neat experience to pick the apples straight from the trees instead of off of a shelf at the grocery store. I plan on using the apples in your daily juice, so I hope you like them! You didn't seem to have any objections to the gigantic caramel apple that I ate, so that must be a good sign. :)

I am just glad we came home with apples at all; they kept making their way into your daddy, uncle, and cousins mouths instead of the box!

I am happy to report that you didn't seem to mind the Taco Joes (best Mexican food restaurant) that we ate at on our way home either. I know...I couldn't resist. :) Gaga says that when her and grandpa used take me there as a baby I would eat the salsa with a spoon. Maybe you like it like your mommy does!..Fingers crossed!
